Nature Enrichment Ages 6-10 (Mon/Wed)

$0.00

Due to platform fees we are trying a new method of payment for class signup. After you have enrolled here you will be emailed a Venmo request for a one-time materials fee of $95 that reserves your child’s spot in the class. It is NOT the cost of monthly tuition. Monthly tuition is $325 per month. Because of our small class sizes we consider enrollment a firm commitment for the school year. For children ages 6-10. Students must have turned six by the first day of class in September. Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00AM-3:00PM. Class size is limited to 12 students. Designed to foster a life-long connection to nature, build strong friendships and a sense of belonging, develop independence, and encourage curiosity and creativity. Classes emphasize unstructured outdoor play, but also include supervised animal care-taking (each student has an assigned “animal chore” that rotates on a monthly basis. They learn to feed and water our rabbits and miniature horses, gather chicken eggs, etc), a focused learning time with simple science and/or social studies activities designed to build an understanding and appreciation of the natural world, read-aloud time with carefully-curated chapter books, structured art projects, simple meditation and mindfulness practices, and what we call “Sit-spot” (a short quiet time to observe nature in their own special spot). Each student will also receive a nature journal that will be kept throughout the school year based on our monthly themes.
